Marisa and Travis. They are resilient. They are loved. These two dreamed of their vows being exchanged surrounded by the beautiful Blue RIdge Mountains in a romantic outdoor celebration. Wedding week was stormy, but that didn't stop one amazing couple being showered with a night dripping in pretty.

It happened to be Derby Day, so these guests were beaming to welcome the guests with their distant neigh in celebration.

The most important thing that I would share with future brides is to trust that everything REALLY will be incredible, no matter what. The wedding planning can be stressful, and that can easily trickle into your weddng day if you allow it to. Every bride has their idea of their picture perfect wedding, and it can be hard when you realize that a detail might have to change for one reason or another. We were devastated when we found out it was going to rain on our outdoor wedding, but we had such an amazing team of vendors that worked so closely with us to make sure our rain plan was executed beautifully. Our plan B ended up being even more magical than plan A! Just remember that you are surrounded by people who love you and want your wedding to be as wonderful as you do. If you keep that in mind, you are able to fully experience the joy and excitement that come along with your wedding day. And in the end, you are marrying the love of your life! How could it not be perfect?
— Marisa, Travis' bride

Marisa loved an organic, natural feel, so for her bouquet we combined the fragrance of romantic peonies, delicate lisanthus and ranunculus dancers, creamy garden roses, Silver Brunia and layers of textured foliage. Her attending ladies' cloud blue (foreshadowing), had gatherings that included a bit of textured berries, fragrant double stock and thistle to complement their leading lady. Their smiles and laughter were real, and exquisitely captured by our friend, Rachel Iliadis. We can't stress enough how much value there is in your investment of an experienced, talented photographer.

Chris was one happy Father of the Bride, and now it was time to pop the bubbly...again, and dance with his daughter, and that he did! And Lauren, you pulled off a seamless event. Well done.

Miss Milly's brought Marisa's inspiration to life with a bit of sparkle, details, farm tables and crossback chairs. It was heartwarming when the bride's sister had a sneak peek. Breathtaking. I'll never forget her hug...and her gratitude for making her sister's day "even more beautiful than expected." We love a #happybride, but we also love when those who love them best are overjoyed.

Most of this glimpse into their day is ordered. Some simply offer a reminder that sometimes things may not go as expected, but are not a bit less beautiful. We couldn't have been more please to have such a stellar team of vendors and staff to make sure this bride had such a joyous, empowering smile. Thanks for including our blooms.

Marisa and Travis. You're joy is contagious. Love well.
